For general room lighting:

Add the length + width of your room (in feet). Convert that total to inches, and you’ll get the ideal diameter of your chandelier.

Example: A room that’s 14ft x 10ft = 24ft. A chandelier with a diameter of around 24 inches is a great fit.

For dining areas:

• Width of your dining table x 0.6 to 0.75 = Ideal chandelier width.
