What is the difference between a material and a finish?

The material describes what a component is made from; the finish describes its surface treatment or colour direction. Specify both. A gold-toned surface can be applied to different base materials, so the product specification and approved quotation should identify the combination.

Will the finish look exactly like it does on my screen?

Screens, photography and the light in your room can change the way colour and sheen appear. The swatches here are illustrative colour directions. Ask about a physical sample, finish close-up or representative reference where available, and agree the final direction before production.

Can every design be made in every finish?

Available combinations depend on the design, substrate, components, fabrication process and material supply. Share the product or reference and your preferred finish so the team can review feasibility. Pricing and the estimated timeline are confirmed for the agreed specification.

Can these materials and finishes be used outdoors or near moisture?
